It’s a rave dave!

Ok, party season has arrived! The best thing about winter apart from new boots! It’s time to party and this season everything has gone neon! I’ve always had a soft spot for all things that glow in UV light! Ever since my raver days! I’m in my elemnet at the moment as bright fluorescent tutu skirts are everywhere, smiley faces, glow sticks! Party, party, party!

I’ve just discovered slide.com! It’s fun!

Funky Jewellery, knuckle dusters, anchors, guitars and handcuffs, oh and jammy dodgers!

Last time I wrote on here, I mentioned the new jewelley that was coming into stock.  Well I have been selling this well in my ’real’ shop.  Now I have added it to my website it is going well there too!  So I thought it was about time to showcase it on my blog!

It’s all on a funky rock inspired theme, so plenty of knuckle dusters, anchors,  guitars, hand cuffs, cassettes (remember them!  I do so, that gives away my age!), Jammy dodgers, yes, you heard correctly!  Rubik’s cube, a bit of 1980’s kitsch.  The gun necklace is in the style of the necklace Nancy Spungen used to wear in the good old punk days.  Retro is good!   More to come so keep an eye out!

shemagh montage

This question is the most commonly asked at the moment!  Funny really as I just throw mine on in a haphazard manner, so I thought I would Google ’shemagh wrap instructions’ to find the official explanation.  Not what I had in mind!  Scroll down to the ’shemagh ready for action’ picture with just the eyes peeping out, that’s not what I had in mind!  Still quite handy instructions if you find yourself in a sand storm.

So I have decided to take things into my own hands and draw a little diagram.  Hopefully it will help; this is how to wear your shemagh in the Pete Doherty/Indie/Scene style.  With this in mind take a look at the wonderful rainbow of coloured shemagh scarves I have just listed on the website.  I think the fashion is going to run all summer and the colours and patterns just keep getting more and more beautiful.

 Happy folding!

What’s new in February?

Well February has been quite an exciting month so far!  Firstly I had a sneak preview of the new season at Criminal Damage, and all I can say is there are lots of lovely things to look forward to this summer.  Also I have seen a few other brands new season stuff and there is going to be a lot of colour in the alternative scene this summer!  After quite a few years of black, red and purple there is quite an explosion of vibrant colour!  It will be interesting to see how well the colours sell compared to black which usually out sells any other colour times 10!

I have also ordered lots of real 80’s retro patterns & funky jewellery which I can’t wait to get, very girlie and childish.  I  am really excited to get them & list them on the website!

This week we listed 10 new hooded sweatshirts, in amazing colours, some plain & some UV patterned by Criminal Damage.  Some cute little gothic numbers with pussy cat ears & sneak pockets by Living Dead Souls.  One thing I have noticed since the media have made a big deal out young people wearing hoodies the demand and supply both seem to have shot up!  Quite funny really!

WOW! How I wish I was born a geek!

After many hours battling with my computer, I have finally installed my blog into my website and here I am :)  It has been quite a steep learning curve; the main thing I have learnt is that I am rubbish with computers!  Apparently that is the easy bit and the writing is the hard bit!  Oh dear!

Our brand new website is now up and running, even though we haven’t put too many products on it yet we have had quite a few customers!  My main job for this month is to make the website as full and vibrant as my ‘real’ shop, which is quite a job.  So far this month I have listed 10 different colours of skinny fit drainpipe jeans made by Criminal Damage and modeled by the lovely slim Holly!  This is my hot tip for Spring/Summer 2008!
